Origin of the invention
Mr. Roland Jacques is a graduate engineer and has been working in product development in the field of electroacoustics for a long time. One of the biggest challenges in this industry is the development of high-quality and cost-efficient flat-panel loudspeakers, which are now within reach thanks to modern magnetic injection molding.
After leaving his previous employer, Mr. Jacques continued to work in this technical field. In February 2022, an invention was created to improve a magnet arrangement of a magnet system for planar dynamic transducers in many respects compared to the state of the art:
Mr. Jacques already had experience as an inventor and was able to search for patent literature himself, so that extensive prior art could be incorporated into the patent application as patent literature.
The German patent application 10 2022 111 851.7 was filed with the German Patent and Trade Mark Office (DPMA) on 11 May 2022.
OfficialExamination procedure
Claiming the priority of the German patent application, an international patent application PCT/EP2023/062590 was filed on May 11, 2023, which was published as WO 2023/217955 A1 on November 16, 2023, see: Patent publication at Espacenet.
The national phases in the USA, China, Japan and Korea were initiated from the international patent application, as was the regional phase before the European Patent Office. These review procedures are currently still ongoing (as of July 2025).
Commercial use is already being prepared during the ongoing process in order to be able to use and help shape current market developments, especially as the maximum 20-year “lifetime” of the patents sought has already been running since the initial application.
